BAppSc (Phy),MAppSc (Ex & SpSc), MCSP, MACPRC. Amanda is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist working with the Critical Care Outreach Team at The Royal London Hospital, London, United Kingdom. Amanda completed post-graduate training in exercise and sports science following a commonwealth scholarship at Sydney University, during her tenure with the school of physiotherapy reading undergraduate cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. Amanda relocated to the United Kingdom in 2004 and has been a member of the guideline development group for the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), and a Clinical Advisor to The National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD). Amanda is the author and co-author of over 15 peer reviewed publications, 5 book chapters, and greater than 30 national and international conference presentations including WCPT in 2007 and 2011 and 2015. Amanda is the creator and principle lecturer of “Exploring Exercise” which has delivered over 60 workshops and short professional development courses throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland in exercise physiology in acute care, measurement theory, exercise interventions in critical care and high fidelity simulation for graduate Physiotherapists. Amanda is an invited speaker and guest lecturer on multiple post graduate Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy programs in London, the UK and Republic of Ireland including University College London, Hertfordshire University, Ulster University and Cardiff University. Amanda is currently working in an advanced clinical practice role as a Critical Care Outreach practitioner.
