Dr. Anna Christakou is a clinical physiotherapist at Evangelisms General Hospital in Athens, Greece and she has also a Bachelor degree of Sport Sciences and Physical Education, University of Athens. She has extensive clinical experience in ICU and is actively involved in research and development in respiratory health in collaboration with local hospitals. She completed her PhD in 2008 in the psychosomatic state of sport injury athletes. She has 28 publications in international and Greek journals, above 100 presentations in Greek and International congresses, 5 writing chapters of book and above of 280 citations to her research work. Additionally, she has teaching experience in B.Sc. degrees in Department of Physiotherapy in Athens, Aigion and to the School of Sports Science and Physical Education in Athens. She has taught in the M.Sc. programs of Department of Physiotherapy in Athens, Lamia and Aigion, to the School of Medicine in Athens. She is a fundamental member of the Scientific Section of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of the Pan-Hellenic Physiotherapy Association from 2014 (Treasurer and President). As a coordinator of the “Physiotherapy of ICU” and as a President of the Scientific Section, we have achieved many scientific goals promoting cardiorespiratory and ICU rehabilitation. She has been the supervisor of a research project at First Critical Care Medicine at Evangelisms Hospital and has been participated to two other research projects in ICU. She has successfully supervised Bachelor students of Physiotherapy and she has experience of supervising M.Sc. students of School of Medicine, University of Athens.
